School workshop: Hain and Me, 13.6. u. 20.6.

The LandArt work Hain, started in 1972 and completed around 1979, is the only remaining individual work by Mathias Hietz in the sculpture park. In addition to Hain, key collaborative works such as the Communication Center (1973-1980), the Gate of Knowledge (1988) and the Wall (1979) bear Hietz’s artistic signature.

In the Hain and Me project, pupils from Hirtenberg secondary school, accompanied by artists from the Symposion Lindabrunn association, explore the artistic and ecological characteristics of the site and Mathias Hietz’s artistic work. The stone sculptures are interpreted and explored on site, own stories are invented – the experience is artistically processed.
