Karolina Preuschl, born in Vienna in 1991, studied Contextual Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. In her excellent diploma thesis, she dealt with the contextualization of sound, body, text and voice. She made her debut with a solo performance at the Jazzwerkstatt Wien in 2014.
Karolina Preuschl is active as a solo musician, but also works and collaborated with koenigleopold, Blueblut, Studio Dan, Wien Diesel, antiehdas, Lukas König, Peter Kutin, Isabella Forciniti, Tony Renaissance, Nik Hummer, and many others.
Performances at the Wiener Festwochen, Diagonale, Viennale, Radiokulturhaus, Wiener Konzerthaus, but also abroad, for example in Zurich, Rotterdam, Belgrade, Budapest, Berlin, and many more.
As a musician, she took part in the play Ghost Times at brut – wien 2018. Solo performances with her own texts surprise with dramaturgical and vocal border crossings. As a text author and performer in the play “How is Your Bird?” she was seen with “Studio Dan” at La Strada Graz and also in the melodramatic play SOS with Studio Dan at Porgy&Bess in Vienna.
