Karin Raith is Professor of Building Construction at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. After studying architecture at the Vienna University of Technology, she worked on urban planning and architectural projects. Doctorate and habilitation at the TU Vienna. Many years of teaching assignments on landscape history and theory at the Angewandte, TU Vienna and the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences. She researches, teaches and publishes on landscape and sustainable architecture. Author of Die Unterseite der Architektur (Springer, 2006), co-author of, among others: Cultures of Landscape (2006), Ambiguous Nature (2009), Urban Change in Iran (2016), Urban Heritage along the Silk Roads (2020), Conceptual Joining (2021).
