The umraum art-collective was founded in 1990; members of the collective were Kurt Weckel, Johanna Haigl and Günter Miklenic. From the time Kurt Weckel took over the Symposion Lindabrunn association in 1999 until 2018, umraum was in charge of the Symposion Lindabrunn. In Lindabrunn, the collective was involved in projects such as Immigration and Free Barium Nitrate by Swiss artist Francesco Mariotti and developed the mobile museum NomadMuseum, with which it made contemporary art accessible to a diverse audience at events in the region.
