Theresa Stroetges is a musician and sound artist from Berlin. Her solo project Golden Diskó Ship combines songs with sound collages, electronics, acoustic instruments and video projections. The experimental psychedelic trio Painting moves between poppy hooks, synth outbursts and three-part vocal passages, sometimes fragile, sometimes noisy. In various collaborations with artists from the fields of performance, dance, live poetry, film and installation, she pursues ways of breaking up conventional performance practices and genre boundaries. Theresa has a Master’s degree in Sound Studies and Musicology.
