Ivana Lazić is a visual and conceptual artist based in Vienna. She graduated in Graphic Design from the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad (2017) and in Site-Specific Art from the class of Paul Petritsch at the University of Applied Arts Vienna (2023). Working primarily with sculpture and installation, her practice engages feminist and New Materialist thought, exploring embodied and situated knowledges. She explores the “symbiotic real” by seeking non-hierarchical solidarities between human and other-than-human forms of existence. Drawing from personal and intergenerational histories, she cultivates intimacy with materials, treating each element as an active agent within a constellation. Her body of work is concerned with postnaturalism and with how human presence and geopolitical landscapes conceal histories of power, colonial violence, and biovalue/biocapital. Her work has been exhibited at Klima Biennale, Vienna Design Week, and Foto Wien, among others. In 2025, she received the Arbeitsstipendium from the City of Vienna for her site-specific project Grafting a Garden / The Story of Rose Lilac.
