Ida Zahradnik (born 1997, Vienna) is an artist and landscape planner. Her dual studies in landscape planning and architecture and fine arts shaped her socio-ecological-critical way of thinking. She completed her artistic diploma in spring 2025 at the University of Applied Arts (die Angewandte) in the class for site-specific art and will complete her bachelor’s degree at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (Boku) in October 2025.
In her artistic practice, Zahradnik seeks close connections between her work and the physical and socio-spatial environment, creating installation and performance sculptures and video works. In doing so, she questions various concepts of space and the associated spatial and resource policies. As co-founder of the art collective “Gruppe Bussi” (since 2020), member of the citizens’ initiative “St. Marx für Alle” (St. Marx for All), and in artistic collaboration with Pauline Hosse-Hartmann (since 2021), she observes, comments on, and participates in the conditions and changes of our society in artistic and activist language.
