Ida Zahradnik (1997, Vienna) is an artist and landscape planner. Her double degree in landscape planning and architecture and fine arts shaped her socio-ecological-critical way of thinking. She completed her artistic diploma in spring 2025 at the University of Applied Arts (die Angewandte) in the class for site-specific art and graduated in October 2025 with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (Boku).
In her artistic practice, Zahradnik seeks close relationships between her works and the physical and socio-spatial environment, creating installative and performative sculptures and video works. She questions various spatial concepts and the associated politics of space and resources. As co-founder of the art collective “Gruppe Bussi” (since 2020), member of the citizens’ initiative “St. Marx für Alle” and in artistic collaboration with Pauline Hosse-Hartmann (since 2021), she observes, comments on and participates in conditions and changes in our society in an artistic and activist language.
