Hannah Stippl is a visual artist, curator and landscape theorist. In addition to her artistic work, she taught at the University of Applied Arts Vienna in the Landscape Art/Design department from 2005-2017. Her theoretical work focuses on the aesthetics of landscape and the cultural-historical, ecological and art-historical aspects of plants. She has been running the exhibition space puuul in Vienna since 2021. Hannah Stippl is radical in the most original sense of the word radicalis, which means rooted, connected to the earth, at eye level with plants. The radical here is a form of earthiness. She sees her paintings as growing and developing, slowly revealing themselves.
