“Uncanny Realitiy” reflects the virtual as a space that coexists in interaction with our reality ‘AFK (Away From Keyboard)’ and brings various artistic formats into the offline nature of the site.
Detailed program here: https://uncannyreality.xyz
Through an exhibition, digital interventions and a series of live events, the festival considers the virtual as an artistic medium and form of expression, exploring the synthetic yet tangible nature of virtual spaces and bodies, and reflecting on the sense of ‘intellectual uncertainty’ and uncanniness evoked by the subversive use of technology in art.
The program is inspired by Neal Stephenson’s concept of Metaverse as a virtual world that is accessible via public or private terminals in physical reality (“Snow Crash”, 1992).
Some program items have a limited number of participants

Through an exhibition, digital interventions and a series of live events, the festival looks at the Virtual as an artistic medium and form of expression, exploring the synthetic yet perceivable nature and corporeality of virtual spaces and bodies and reflecting on the sense of “intellectual uncertainty” and uncanniness provoked by subversive uses of technology in Art.
