What exactly is a poetry slam? A poetry slam is a poetry competition in which self-written texts are performed. The participants not only read the text aloud, but also “perform” it. They can whisper, rhyme, narrate, rap, shout or stutter. The event is hosted by experienced poetry slammer and slam champion Mario Tomic. The audience chooses the winner.
Anyone who brings 2 texts and wants to present them in approx. 5 minutes can take part. To register to take part in the slam, please contact Johanna Haigl at forum@symposion-lindabrunn.at, tel. 0676/7455013 or at least half an hour before the start directly at the hospital church.
Mario Tomic, one of Austria’s best-known slammers, will host the poetry slam in the Spitalskirche in Enzesfeld.
