Susanna Gartmayer studied graphics and painting and has been working as a bass clarinetist and composer in the areas of experimental music, multi-idiomatic improvisation and contemporary music since the early 2000s.
Among others, she plays with When Yuppies Go To Hell, Salz, Broken Heart Collector, KGB, möström, Orchestra 33 1/3, The Vegetable Orchestra, as well as her acoustic solo program AOUIE, in which split sounds, flap noises and circular breathing merge to form a polyphonic sound universe .
Since 2015, she has been organizing the Monday Improvisers Session at Vienna’s Celeste together with Thomas Berghammer and Didi Kern.
