Natalie Deewan, born 1978, seeks and finds linguistic solutions, practices pure, real, applied and collective literature in public and published space and makes deesign. Most recently, she remontaged the inscriptions of closed stores into Viennese vacancy anagrams and fontified handwritten signs of all kinds in the Heterotypia Font Family. In 2021, 4 new postcard booklets were published (Angewandte Literatur, Deesign, Retzer Mauerschau, Gemischter Satz), in 2022 Lucida Console – ein Translatorium Maximum will be published by Klever Verlag. Since 2005, she has been running the Viennese Deewan, a Pakistani curry restaurant with a pay-as-you-wish principle, together with Afzaal Deewan.
