Marie Lambropoulus studied biology at the University of Vienna, majoring in ecology with a focus on vegetation ecology, nature and landscape conservation. She wrote her diploma thesis on the grasshopper population at the Lindabrunn Symposium site and is an excellent expert on this habitat. In addition to her classical scientific work as an ecologist in the field of nature conservation and climate change, she likes to deal with ecophilosophical and ecofeminist theories, reads the works of Donna Haraway, Anna Tsing and Lynn Margulis and tries to contribute to smashing the patriarchy with these ideas in mind.
