The boat, cut into two halves lengthwise, which was created as an essential part of the installation “Sprachrohr” by Milena Krobath & Johannes Schrems in 2014, was originally set up on both sides of the Danube Canal. After various stopovers, it became stranded on the grounds of Symposion Lindabrunn and – not inappropriately – came to rest near Leo Schatzl’s “Loose Harbor”.
It was no longer received as art without comment and so the idea was born to put it in a new context once again with the help of the neon sign.
