DESCRIPTION:Fazit 21 shows traces of the linear symposia of 2021 and works that were created in the VSL’s open development space. \nAs a guest artist\, Verena Mayrhofer has given the fauna of the place a new form. She is now presenting the untitled series of works at the Open Studio Days. Gustavo Petek is showing the video work Mal Lector\, which was also created as part of a production residency. \nThe stone sculptor Wendelin Munter has been working at the Symposion for 20 years. His works were shown for the first time in a solo exhibition in 2021. Favorite pieces by the curators can be experienced again at Fazit 21. \nA documentary view of the dense interdisciplinary program of the three linear symposia on the multi-year focal points of ecology and sympoietic art production\, hybrid spaces – creating art between analogue and digital living environments and sound (space) research is provided by image series and discussions. \nThere are also three installations to discover on the site: \n\nVersuchsanordnung by Arnold Haberl\, curator of entfernten erkundungen;\nSolarshower Remake by Dirk Baecker\, Marianne Ertl and Kathrin Stumreich\, curator of solar habitat and\nuntouched (v.n.)\, an augmented reality iuntervention by Martina Menegon\, curator of uncanny realities.\n\ngrain \nVerena Mayrhofer: \n\nThe arrangement of the individual seeds in rows and the size of the flowers result in differently striped surfaces. It is equally reminiscent of the grain of film material and the pixels of digital images. Using natural materials\, the perception here oscillates between two man-made systems of order. Analog and digital.
